   I’m familiar with this engine…I went though 67N (UH-1 maintenance and crewman) school in Ft Rucker in the summer of 1975, IIRC the engine on the UH-1 at that point, the UH-1H had the Lycoming T53-L-13…we were told that you could not write on the power producing housing with a graphit pencil as it would attract the heat produced inside and burn through the housing….that much I DO remember…
